Something you might know about me is that I’m a massive Green Bay Packers fan. It’s in my blood. It’s one of the things that ties me to my family and my ancestors and my homeland. It’s legacy stuff.
So, when I got a text asking if I wanted to interview Packers linebacker/noted good-looking person Clay Matthews during an event he was doing for the video game Call of Duty (which, much like the Packers, is incredibly popular and beloved by millions of people worldwide) I screamed and jumped up and down a few times and then responded yes in all caps.
And thus on Tuesday, me and Meg Wanserski —a fellow Packers enthusiast from Wausau, WI and a photographer you should know about— drove to Venice, arrived at a penthouse on Abbot Kinney, ate some brownies and then spoke with Clay during an Activision Grudge Match event in which he and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Jamaal Charles played Call of Duty against each other.
